Two major icons have passed, one from the television/movie industry the other the king of pop.....

Farrah Fawcett a popular icon of the 80's passed after a long and hard battle from Cancer. I commend her for her strength, integrity and honesty through it all!! May her and her loved one's find peace.....We will miss you Farrah.

Michael Jackson's passing was a complete and total shock. Never in a million years would I have guessed he would have died from Cardiac Arrest at age 50!! I hope his children were not there, but chances are they were :( I also his family is able to find closure after such a tragic end.

With spring cleaning, the final days of school, the dogs annual vet visits. A cat emergency, a down vehicle and Internet connection issues...In all made for a very busy spring.

The winter blues had hit me so hard. I didn't really care what was going on....I lost all pleasure in almost everything. Blogging took a hard hit. My celebrity area with CBS that I update with expecting and new celeb moms, took a close second. I am hoping to jump back up on my hobby horse and get back into a groove!! I am so sorry, but those winter blues can be awful and dark.

But alas we are finally getting some fantastic weather...Last week it was rainy, windy and cold highs in the 30's. Monday and Tuesday it's suppose to get up to 70!! I can't wait.....

Anyways my new goals for spring are to host blog giveaways and contests. I am going to finally attempt and make my move to Word Press I know it's been talked about for awhile, but with the funk that was also delayed....

We said NO MORE television for 30 days!! Eeeeek!! What was I thinking. It's proving more difficult that I thought it would. I made my resolution to reduce our TV time. But realized the kids found the remote control to turn it back on....So we unplugged the satellite from the outside! No more TV in this house at lease for 30 days! Wish us luck on our detoxification....

Potty update!!

Bradey is doing so well, he is now potty trained 100% during the day....Last night sometime after 9pm but before he fell asleep at 9:30pm he took of his diaper, I checked on him at 11:30pm and that's when I noticed he'd taken his diaper off! His bed was still dry!! I put a diaper on him, just because he doesn't have access to the potty during the night yet.

Also, took him on a short errand today with NO diaper. He did not have an accident!! Granted we were just gone for about 15-20 minutes but it's a giant step. I am so very proud of him, and how easy it was to do. I guess letting him decide when it was time worked....No forced training!!

He's only 3, yes a few months past the standard age...But for a child that does not speak he learned the signs and figured out when he had to go, and now knows when he has the urge!!

My son was suppose to start Pre-School this morning. We had a meeting last month, where I signed all of his paperwork & got his shot records to them. All was set with the exception of the fact of what time he needed to be for class. Nobody stated either the morning or afternoon course. I called prior to the winter break left a message asking, but with the holiday rush I didn't get a call back....

So fast forward to this morning...I once again tried to call again, but no one returned my call by the time the first class started at 8:45am. So I thought ok maybe they will call me before the 12:30pm class. NOPE, they finally called at 12:45pm wondering where he was....Ummmm, he's at home!!

I quess I should have read there minds.

Hope that everyone is having a Happy New Year....

Made some much needed resolutions this year. Usually I don't like to do them, as they are almost broken by the end of January 99% of the time.....Here's hoping I can keep them going.

1) Loose Weight: Which is always on my list, I am hoping to loose about 75Lbs total. But my forseable goal is 50Lbs by November 2009!! I plan on cutting carbs and choosing better menu choices. AND DRINK MORE WATER!!

2) Exercise more!! Exercise more!!

3) Watch less television (Tivo doesn't count wink, wink)

4) Save more...With the economy the way it is I think it's time to save more money.

5) Send out get well soon, misisng you & congratulatory notes more oftern to my friends and family....

Hope I can keep up with my resolutions...Good Luck to you all in the new year!!

My mom ruined Christmas....

Well not really, but kinda....She for one has invited her adult step-child (yes I call him a child as child support is still being paid each and every month to him, he's not in school anymore and chose not to go to college) who is 19 and his girlfriend to our Christmas Dinner. Fine, extra people I can handle, this is the same person who tortured her cats whenever he came to visit, snuck onto the computer late at night and view porn all night long, stole from her and threatened her....Granted he's an "adult" now and most of that was done in his late childhood (15-17 years old). Do I really want him and his girlfriend around my house? No. But she also ruined dinner for us. I missed out on Thanksgiving dinner as I had a stomach flu and was sick all day so I didn't eat, nor did I eat leftovers....But she has replaced our traditional Christmas Feast of Turkey, Stuffing and Mash Potatoes for PRIME RIB and TWICE BAKED POTATOES!! WHAATTTT!! That and tack on the fact that I am portfolio building and they want pictures taken too....Grrrrr!!

Great that post just sounded like I took over the Grinch's position!!

YAY!! Big boy!!

We tried to potty train this summer since it would have been easier clothing wise. But he just didn't show no interest, that combined with his lack of speech. Communicating that he had to go was proving to be the problem. So when fall rolled around we gave up and said we would try again in the spring....

One the morning of December 14th he had been up in a new diaper for about an hour when he ripped it off, I asked him why he did that.....He said potty!! Now this is a child that does NOT speak! After about 2-3 minutes on the potty her went!! Since that day, he's gone without a diaper during the day!! He has had only TWO accidents in the last 4 days, he runs to the bathroom when he needs to go....I have a toddler seat that covers the adult seat and a stepping stool so it's very easy for him to get onto it. He has done so well and I am so very proud of him!

BIG MILESTONE for us....I understand that he has a long way to go, as he still wears diapers at night and when we go out of the home. But for now I will take this and celebrate!!

Snow has finally hit our small valley....We've had quite a bit over the last 24 hours. My dogs LOVE it. Driving yesterday was a bit scary, as everyone seems to think OMG snow that means no more rules. I saw several people being towed from streets, parking lots a few accidents and many emergency vehicles trying to get from location to location....

We do people drive like idiots when it snow's. We get this kind of weather EVERY winter its nothing new....

Anyways here are a couple picture of my doggy Angus playing in the snow it was a challenge to get him to hold still, he loves the snow hates my camera.....
